Who:  Neil Joffe, a native of South Africa, studied art at the Johannesburg Art Foundation under Bill Ainsly in 1980.  He obtained a national diploma in fine art from the Witwatersrand Technikon and exhibited in various galleries in Johannesburg prior to moving back to America.  Many of his paintings are commissioned works for private clients.  The motifs in his paintings--great birds, bull men, and ancestral spirits and goddesses--celebrate and guide his African dream and the victory of retaining his South African identity.

Fee:  $200 for the 10-session class.  Make your check payable to Neil Joffe and mail it immediately to Neil Joffe, c/o Alchemy, 8025 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
